AC/DC don't play open field gigs this summer

According to a Groningen (Netherlands) city official, AC/DC cancelled an appearance in the City Park in the summer of 2009. Reason not to show up would be that the band doesn't wish to play in an open field. AC/DC prefers to play only big open air stadium concerts (as reflected in the summer tour schedule). This means that the chances for another Belgian gig this summer are rather unlikely. Link to article.
Volgens een stadhouder uit Groningen (Nederland), heeft AC/DC een show geannuleerd deze zomer in het Stadspark. De band zou niet graag optreden op een open vlakte. Daarom spelen ze deze zomer enkel grote open air stadium concerten (zoals je kan merken aan hun tourschema). De kansen op een derde Belgisch optreden in 2009 verkleinen dus aanzienlijk.
