Nov 2025 - Sydney Nov 1977 - London (D.Corio)
A firebird in schoolboy armor, scorched by amps and guitar gain
At last, a hint of warmth on this 25 November. Skirting the thunderstorms that smashed Brisbane and Hervey Bay —knocking out power for far too many hours—the only remaining AC to be found was charging Accor Stadium at Olympic Park, for AC/DC's second night in Sydney. Last station in Australia for yours truly. The band delivered yet another fantastic show, and the audience roared in approval. Like the first night, the crowd was young and loud, though the front-of-stage area was noticeably smaller, and tickets for tonight were still available just hours before the performance. None of that dampened the experience—nor did it stop us from connecting with fellow international fans from Hungary, Japan, US and Canada, as well as friends we had met in Melbourne. Also public was much more efficient than on Friday.
A word for Angus. He pulls it off every time, night after night, with no sign of wear or borrowed parts. In his shoes and at his age, I'd probably be sponsored by knee cap prothesists and generative cellular therapists by now. Words still fall short of capturing the sheer dedication Angus pours into this band—the meticulous preparation, the razor-edged concentration, the relentless focus that makes every note land perfectly. Every solo, every leap, every moment on that stage is the result of craft, discipline, and a devotion few could ever match.
Asking permission for a fly-by - ready for the fall. Reborn in sparks and confetti ...
... the Phoenix rises again
After this demonstration of string craftmansship high above sea level, Angus takes a deep breath, charges the chicken run (the nickname of the staircase on both sides of the stage), moves in slow-motion to the center, high and dry above the drum riser,
before unleashing another ripping eight-minute solo. After more than 21 minutes, we're still into Let There Be Rock. More than an anthem, the reason of their existence, 50+ million fingers learning how to play and trying to keep up.
A refreshing opening act, Large Mirage

Parrallel Universe - Stand up and be counting, for what you are about to receive
It's time to say goodbeyes. Thank you Australia, you beautiful land of well-hidden snakes, sharks, roos and koalas, but packed with the nicest rock 'n roll folks you'll ever meet. A long list, from the fans we knew, over the fans we (finally) met, the road crew Cosmo and Harry for enhancing the show nights, everyone else in the the entourage for their time and warm welcome, and other legends we met along the Australian eucalyptus tree sided roads: Mark, Tony, Jenny, Craig Harneth, Daniel Vanda and Derek Scott. Thank you for the laughs and stories! Special mention to Bert, Glenn, Damo, Mary and the Australasian Rolling Stones. Thank you and rock on!
So long for now. I don't know where the roads will take us. One thing is sure, American crowds are in for a treat! Enjoy!
